Copyright Information and Use of Copyrighted Material

  1. Copyright information

Infringement claims and digital millennium Copyright Act notice. Locanis respects the intellectual property of others, and we ask our users to do the same. Locanis may, in appropriate circumstances and at its discretion, terminate the access and accounts of users who infringe on the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement or any other violation of your rights, please provide the following information in writing to Locanis; a) an electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest; b) a description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed or material which otherwise violates your rights. If you claim that multiple copyrighted works at the site are infringing, a representative list of such works at the site; c) a description of where the material that you claim is infringing or violating is located at the site; d) your address, phone number, and email address; e) a statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information in your notice is accurate and that you are, or are authorized to act on behalf of, the copyright owner or the owner of an exclusive copyright that is allegedly being infringed.

Please note that in order to be effective notice under the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act, your notice must include all of the above information. In addition, claimants who make misrepresentations concerning copyright infringement may be liable for damages incurred as a result of the removal or blocking of that material, court costs and attorneys fees.

  1. Use of copyrighted material

Introduction. These Guidelines apply to all uses of Locanis materials that are protected by copyright (which, among other things, includes all text, images, software, documentation, screenshots, website, photographs, video footage, etc.) (“Locanis materials”), in whatever media they may be used (including print media, online media, books, articles, audiovisual works, blogs, wikis, or any other format or medium). Third parties wishing to use Locanis materials protected by copyright must have Locanis permission to do so. Locanis gives you that permission in some situations described below as long as you comply with the requirements stated. In other cases, you must obtain Locani’s written consent. If you don’t have a contract with Locanis that gives you such rights, please get in touch with Locanis to request such permission. Contact information is provided below.

Limited situations where use is permitted without Locani’s prior written permission.

There are some circumstances in which Locanis permits you to use specified Locanis materials without getting Locanis prior written permission. Locanis footage and press photos may only be used with written consent from Locanis.

Conditions to get Locanis consent to use these are provided only if you comply with all of the following requirements; a) the Locanis materials and all copies shall remain at all times the exclusive property of Locanis and/or a Locanis affiliated company; b) you must use the Locanis materials without modification, except as may be necessary to resize or otherwise convert the Locanis material to a permitted format; c) you must include the copyright notice “© <year>. Locanis or a Locanis affiliated company. All rights reserved” and you should insert the year as shown on the materials that you are using; d) you must include the statement “used with permission of Locanis” in a prominent location; e) you may not use the Locanis material in any offensive manner or context and/or in any manner that would be illegal under applicable law; f) you may not imply any Locanis sponsorship, affiliation or endorsement; g) you may not use the Locanis materials for a purpose competitive with Locanis or its products unless otherwise clearly permitted by applicable law; h) you may not use the Locanis corporate, product logo or any of other other logos without prior written consent from Locanis; i) no use of other Locanis trademarks is granted under this section.

  1. How to request Locanis permission for all other uses of Locanis materials

To request permission to use any other Locanis materials, please email us at admin@locanis360.com. You must obtain Locanis permission prior to any engagement of use. We might not be able to commit to responding within any particular time, and we will do our best to consider your deadline when possible.
